Our Journey So Far

Our History

Founded in 1995 we started our recruitment & employment journey opening our first office in the heart of the Black Country, West Midlands. Ironically, the office was based in what used to be the old Jobcentre! At that time there was still a strong manufacturing, production & automotive industry presence and our recruitment teams supported production & manufacturing plus the logistics & commercial. Our success enabled more offices followed expanding into Birmingham, Coventry & subsequently Telford.

In 1999 we expanded our sector experience into national supermarket & online retail distribution which aided our business to grow into the South-East throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire & Cambridgeshire. Additionally, successful supply relationships in retail pharmaceutical manufacturing facilitated our growth north into Yorkshire, Lancashire & Greater Manchester.

Following the inception of the GLA IN 2005, now the GLAA (Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority),  we have successfully held licences across our businesses for over two decades due to our work within the food processing & packaging industries. Over that time we have done extensive work in the industry and the community working to raise awareness of modern slavery and associated human rights issues that go hand in hand with that.

2011 brought the opportunity to diversify into a number of industries related to the UK’s infrastructure including construction, education and the public sector.

2012 saw our introduction into the telecommunications industry, a sector which has seen incredible growth over the last two decades. Since then we have become one of the most reputable and trusted recruitment partners within the UK telecoms supply chain and supply into the UK’s top 10 telecoms providers.

Following a period of consolidation in 2015 the next 5 years saw us acquire a number of recruitment & employment businesses from York down to London operating in complementary sectors including pharmaceuticals, health & social care, which we have now consolidated under our main Capital brand.

Since 2019 our focus has been on enhancing the services that we offer to all our stakeholders: our clients, our candidates and our employees. For our clients we have extended our service offering to include master and neutral vendor options. For our employees we have funded a number of new start-up businesses to facilitate future entrepreneurs.
